WAHM – or illusion in Arabic; created in reference to music’s effects on brain functions.
Composed of two childhood friends, born, and raised in Morocco, the live act saw officially the light in Paris in 2020.
Both members are multi-instrumentalists and have different influences. From metal to jazz, going through reggae and Arabic roots music, they combine styles and genres in a very creative way, to come up with a unique organic sound. Their groove consists of electric bass lines and acoustic drums full of unpredictable breaks, while their melodies are a well-balanced mix between sad and hopeful scales and arps.
Releasing on Solomun’s Diynamic in early 2021 was a turning point in their musical career, being revealed to the public through a four-tracker EP with eclectic influences.
